Entry point

Qualify the decision before expanding the mandate.

A structured discussion to define the problem, test the information base and determine whether the conditions exist to proceed.

15 / Executive Diagnostic

The issue

A useful scope, not undifferentiated free consulting.

The Executive Diagnostic identifies the decision, value at risk, stakeholders, available evidence and principal gaps. The output does not replace due diligence, professional advice or execution of the workstreams.

If there is a fit, Sentinel proposes a diagnostic or execution mandate with defined scope, deliverables, accountability, timetable and commercial terms.

Preparation

Questions that make the first discussion useful

01

Which decision must be taken?

Not the general topic, but the choice, approval or operating step that must be supported.

02

What value is exposed?

Capital, revenue, time, market access, business continuity or reputation.

03

What evidence exists?

Documents, data, agreements, analyses, discussions and assumptions already in use.

04

What is blocking the decision?

Information gaps, governance, funding, partners, authorisations, capability or conflicts.

Outcome

Three possible conclusions

02.01

Proceed

The problem is sufficiently qualified and can be translated into a mandate with verifiable objectives and deliverables.

02.02

Prepare

Evidence, governance or preliminary conditions are required before mobilising a broader team.

02.03

Stop

The mandate is not suitable, the risk cannot be allocated, or the decision requires a different type of provider.
